What is a Dental Prosthetist?

A Dental Prosthetist is a registered dental professional who works directly with the public in the provision of dentures (full and partial) and mouthguards. A Dental Prosthetists career starts as a Dental Technician, where the required skills and knowledge are obtained over a number of years in the manufacturing of the dental appliances for a Dentist. A Dental Prosthetist is thoroughly trained in both the technical and clinical aspects of the provision of dentures and mouthguards and will be able to guide you in a professional manner.

Services offered under referral of a Dentist

  • Immediate Dentures - Removable denture inserted at the time of tooth extraction
  • Splints - Removable appliance to protect teeth from bruxism (grinding)

 

Nicholas Greer will manufacture the dental appliances off site in his dental laboratory or enlist the assistance of a local dental laboratory for the manufacturing of specialised appliances - ie Cobalt/Chrome or Flexible Dentures. The construction of all appliances will remain in Australia.
